Part object, part ritual, part critique. This work sits at the intersection of consumer culture, body politics, and quiet craft.
A tote, a vessel, a reliquary of desire.
This handbuilt ceramic sculpture mimics the form of a designer tote. reimagined in stoneware and filled with copper-glazed ceramic dildos. Utility & Obsession No. 1 explores the tension between mass production and intimacy, between what we carry and what we conceal.
The body of the tote is distorted, scarred, and soda glazed in unpredictable flows of luster and oxide—highlighting imperfection as truth . Inside, the contents suggest both play and provocation: a personal inventory rendered permanent in clay.
